DRIVING DYNAMICS
4 ACTIVE SUSPENSION
The new Aventador S features magneto-rheological front and rear shock absorbers with pushrod system, which constantly modify the behaviour of the suspensions according to the road conditions and the driving mode selected.
SVJ Interior
If you intend to build a track-ready supercar, sacrifices must be made. Leather is still available, but Alcantara covers any surface that is not carbon fiber. Speaking of carbon, it is used for the structure of the

Aventador Ultimae Gas Mileage
According to the EPA, the Aventador can only cough up gas mileage figures of 9/16/11 mpg city/highway/combined. Those are truly horrendous numbers that can drop further if the V12’s superpowers are regularly called upon. Although the 22.5-gallon gas tank isn’t exactly small, you’ll still be limited to around 247 miles in a mix of city and highway driving. Considering that most sane humans fill up before the tank is completely empty, a more realistic figure is probably around 220 miles of range.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The Aventador’s standard infotainment system is behind the times, with dated graphics and awkward integration. In addition to voice commands and Apple CarPlay capability, the company offers a performance data recorder that saves lap times and track data. If so inclined, buyers can select the upgraded audio system that adds door-mounted subwoofers and tweeters on the dashboard.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
With fuel-economy ratings in the single digits, the Aventador ranks among the least efficient cars on the market. We haven’t had the opportunity to test the government’s estimates on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, which simulates real-world mpg and is part of our extensive testing regimen. For more information about the Aventador’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.

SVJ Engine
Inspired by the Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing program, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Engine engine is now accessed with quick-release pins. Under that cover lies a 770 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque. The intake and cylinder heads are all-new, with port-matched intake and exhaust systems. Titanium intake valves are lighter, allowing for a redline of 8,500 rpm. You will be at 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and 124 mph arrives in 8.6 seconds…It will go faster than 217 mph, so we wonder who will be the first to achieve the true top speed.
